The Vandemataram Foundation, established in 2005, is a grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the quality of education in rural government schools across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Founded during the centenary of the Vandemataram Movement, the Foundation focuses on bridging the educational divide and nurturing value-based, patriotic citizens for India.

Takkelapalli Ravinder Rao – Founder Trustee

A dedicated nationalist and social reformer, active in child labor eradication and educational activism since 1990.

Madhav Reddy Yedma – Founder Secretary

An inspiring philanthropist who committed 50% of his personal assets to rural education and continues to work at the grassroots level since 2006.

📚 Key Programs

1. Village Education Development Committees (VEDCs)

Community-driven school management bodies consisting of elders, youth, alumni, parents, and teachers who work collectively to improve local government schools.

2. 10th Class Educational Camps

Special intensive residential coaching programs designed to help academically struggling students succeed in their board exams with the support of trained educators.

3. Kalam 100 Program

Inspired by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, this year-long residential mentorship program supports 100 meritorious yet underprivileged 10th-grade students with free education, accommodation, and personal development.

4. Akshara Vanam (AV)

An in-house educational research and development center that designs child-centric and scalable programs for foundational literacy and numeracy.

📈 Impact & Achievements

• Reached 150+ government schools in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

• Benefited 5,600+ students through educational camps:

  • 680 placed in IIITs

  • 2,000 enrolled in polytechnic colleges

  • 2,500 secured free intermediate seats

• Produced 100+ professionals, including:

  • 18 MBBS doctors

  • An ISRO scientist

  • Numerous engineers and graduates working in India and abroad

🌐 Global Support – VMF USA

Established in 2008 by Indian-origin professionals in the U.S., VMF USA supports the foundation’s mission through fundraising and volunteer coordination. It is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit with EIN 27-0674780.
