Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society (TSCS)

The Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society (TSCS), established in 1998 in Hyderabad, is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals affected by Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Anemia. Operating from its main center in Hyderabad and branches in Khammam and Kurnool, TSCS offers comprehensive care and services to patients across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

🎯 Mission and Objectives

TSCS aims to enhance the quality of life for patients through:

• Providing free and comprehensive treatment, including blood transfusions, diagnostics, and medications.

• Promoting preventive measures to reduce new cases of Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Anemia.

• Facilitating Bone Marrow Transplants (BMT) as a potential cure.

• Raising awareness and conducting educational programs.

• Offering genetic counseling and antenatal screening.

🏥 Services Offered

TSCS provides a range of free services to patients:

• Blood Transfusion Services: Over 2,32,681 free blood transfusions have been administered, benefiting more than 3,600 registered patients.

• Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT): In collaboration with institutions like Sankalp Foundation, Narayana Hrudayalaya, and Rainbow Children’s Hospital, TSCS facilitates BMT procedures, including free HLA typing and counseling.

• Diagnostic and Medical Services: Free diagnostics, medications, and consultations are provided, supported by a team of specialists including hematologists, pediatricians, and cardiologists.

• Counseling and Support: Genetic counseling and psychosocial support are available for patients and their families.

• Awareness Programs: Regular blood donation camps and educational initiatives are conducted to promote awareness and prevention.
