Aarohi Blood Center (ABC), formerly known as Aarohi Blood Bank, is a not-for-profit organization based in Hyderabad, Telangana. Established as an initiative of Aarohi—a grassroots organization active since 2000—ABC has been operational for over 13 years, dedicated to providing safe and affordable blood and blood products to those in need. 

🩸 Mission and Vision

ABC’s core mission encompasses: 

  1. Providing high-quality, safe blood and related products to children suffering from Thalassemia and Leukemia, primarily in the Greater Hyderabad area. 

  2. Promoting 100% voluntary blood donation without the need for replacement donors, by building alliances with individuals and institutions. 

  3. Raising awareness about Thalassemia to reduce its incidence over time.

  4. Motivating and training youth leaders to ensure the sustainability of voluntary blood donation efforts.

The center is committed to delivering blood components free of charge to Thalassemic children and children with Leukemia, thereby enabling them an opportunity for a normal and holistic life. 

🏥 Services and Impact

ABC operates on a unique not-for-profit model, offering state-of-the-art facilities for blood donation, component preparation, and issuance of blood and blood products. Over the past 12 years, the center has supported Thalassemia children with more than 7,500 units of packed cells and provided over 9,500 units to cancer victims free of charge.

Donate Blood: Individuals can register and donate blood to support patients in need.

Volunteer: ABC encourages individuals to become volunteers, assisting in various activities and spreading awareness.

Financial Contributions: Monetary donations help cover the costs associated with processing and delivering blood components.
