Brahmasri Dr. Madugula Nagaphani Sarma

  • Background: He was born to a family of Vedic scholars and poets in the village of Kadavakolanu near Tadipadtri in Anantapur District, Andhra Pradesh.

  • Early Life & Education: Inclined towards Vedic literature, poetry, and music from a tender age. He quickly gained mastery in Vedic philosophy, Puranas, Itihasaas, and spiritual wisdom under his father’s tutelage.

  • Avadhanam Feat: He picked up the art of Avadhanam and performed his first one by the age of 14, making him the youngest Avadhani in the country at the time.

  • Titles: He is known as a Mahakavi (Great Poet) and Dwisahasravadhani (one who performs an Avadhanam with 2000 facets).
