The Akhila Bharath Sri Vasavi Penugonda Temple Trust is a community-driven initiative aimed at preserving the legacy of Goddess Vasavi and establishing Penugonda as a global spiritual hub. With its grand architectural projects, extensive social services, and devotion to non-violence, the trust offers spiritual, cultural, and material support for Arya Vysyas worldwide.

📜 Trust Mission & Origins

  • Purpose: To develop Penugonda (Andhra Pradesh) as a major Punya Kshetra (holy site) for the Arya Vysya community, akin to Kasi or Tirumala, centered around the birthplace of Goddess Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshvari.

  • Core Objectives:

    1. Provide accommodation, free food, hostels, and healthcare.

    2. Build Vasavi Rishi Gotra Suvarna Mandir and install the 90 ft high pancha-loha idol.

    3. Promote non-violence, love, sacrifice, and peace principles globally.

    4. Encourage Vysyas worldwide to visit Penugonda at least once.

    5. Standardize Vasavi rituals (pooja vidhanas, Sahasranamavali) across temples.

    6. Establish educational institutions, veda-patasala, old-age home, widow rehabilitation, libraries, and offer free marriages.

  • Leadership:

    • Founder President: Late S. Rama Murthy, honored as “Vysya Ratna, Vasavi Seva Ratna”.

    • Current President: Dr. P. N. Govindarajulu, former National Vice‑President of Indian Medical Association & Arya Vysya Sangha leader.

🛕 Vasavi Shanthi Dham: Architecture & Amenities

  • Location: 8-acre spiritual complex in Penugonda, Andhra Pradesh.

  • 90 ft Pancha‑Loha Idol:

    • Made from five metals: gold, silver, copper, tin, and zinc.

    • Weighs ~44 tonnes and is earthquake-resistant.

    • Central shrine with 102 Gotra pillars.

🕉️ Religious Significance & Rituals

  • The temple celebrates the legend of Goddess Vasavi, an incarnation of Adi Parashakti, who along with 102 gothra couples performed agyapraavesham in a sacrificial fire to uphold non-violence and dignity—rather than submit to forced marriage to King Vishnuvardhana.

  • Agnipravesham Day (Magha Shuddha Dwitiya, Feb) is observed worldwide, with rituals like Abhishekam, Homam, Deepotsavam, Kalyanotsavam, and Rathotsavam celebrated with fervor at Penugonda.
