Overview: Born from the founder’s personal journey of hardship and resilience, the Ammani Foundation operates on the motto “Manava Seva – Madava Seva” (Service to man is service to God). It aims to uplift the underserved through compassion and sustainable solutions.
Founder: Mrs. Amani Malugu, a visionary leader who established the organization to turn empathy into action.
Mission: To empower women, educate children, end hunger, and stand by people in extreme need.
Vision: To build a compassionate and inclusive society where no one’s potential is lost to circumstance.
Achievements & Impact
The foundation has garnered significant support and recognition for its work:
Reach: Over 200+ supporters and 60+ volunteers worldwide.
Awards: The founder, Mrs. Amani Malugu, received the “Pushpa Abhishekam and Swarna Kankanam Award” (June 2024) for her exceptional social service.
Government Endorsement: Their initiatives, particularly regarding sanitary hygiene, have been endorsed by government officials such as Mr. Burra Venkatesham IAS (Principal Secretary, Education Dept, Telangana).
Events: Successfully conducted large-scale awareness campaigns, including a 5K Run to promote proper sanitary pad disposal.

The Ammani Foundation works across several key sectors:
1. Women Empowerment
Menstrual Hygiene: Launched a large-scale initiative installing incineration units in 50+ Gurukul schools and conducting awareness sessions for over 50,000 women and girls.
Skill Development: Conducts training programs to enhance employability, focusing on interview readiness and soft skills for students and young professionals.
Ikkat Hub (Future Project): A planned initiative to revive Pochampally handloom weaving by setting up 400 advanced looms to support local artisans.
2. Education
Back-to-School Initiative: Distributes essential academic supplies (school bags, notebooks, stationery) to underprivileged children to ensure they can attend school with dignity.
Institutional Support: Provides books and materials to institutions like AV School and government junior colleges.
3. Healthcare & Nutrition
Health Camps: Partners with hospitals (e.g., Malla Reddy Hospital) to conduct free health check-ups.
Hunger Relief: Runs the “Nourishing Smiles” program, distributing food, buttermilk, and snacks to the needy, including traffic police and street dwellers during harsh weather.
Future Initiatives: Plans to launch “Yoga Shakti,” a wellness program for school students, and a Residential Care Centre for differently-abled children.
4. Humanitarian Relief
COVID-19 Relief: Adopted families to provide monthly rations and served daily meals to frontline workers and patient attendants during the pandemic.
