Avadhana Saraswathi Peetham is founded in 1995 by Brahmasri Dr. Madugula Nagaphani Sarma, this institution is dedicated to preserving and promoting the age-old art of Avadhanam—an extraordinary literary and cognitive performance integrating poetry, memory, improvisation, and multitasking.

Located in Hitech City, Hyderabad, the Peetham features one of Telangana’s only temples dedicated exclusively to Goddess Saraswathi, making it both a spiritual and cultural hub.

🧑‍🎓 Founder: Dr. Madugula Nagaphani Sarma (“Guruji”)

• Born in Kadavakolanu, Andhra Pradesh, into a lineage of Vedic scholars.

• Started performing Avadhanam at the remarkably young age of 14—earning the distinction as the nation’s youngest avadhāni.

• Known as a revivalist of the tradition in both Telugu and Sanskrit, Guruji has performed major events and authored numerous literary and audio works.

🏛️ Facilities & Key Features

1. Saraswathi Temple
   A rare, exclusive temple where devotees especially visit during Moolanakshatram and Saraswathi Pūjā (Sri Panchami). The site draws pilgrims seeking blessings for educational and personal growth.

2. Goshala (Cow Shelter)
   Houses over 70 cows, offering devotees opportunities for service. The Peetham also engages in scientific study of cow products for healthcare and organic farming.

3. Sabha Pranganam (Open-Air Auditorium)
   A spacious venue seating over 3,000 guests, used for Avadhanams, discourses, cultural gatherings, and festivals.

4. Vidya Bhavans
   Includes learning halls, a library, residential spaces, guest accommodations, and a Centre of Excellence – Vedapāṭhaśālā, where students are trained in the Vedas and many graduates serve in temples across India and abroad.

🎉 Events & Cultural Activities

• Viswabharatham Book Launch – A Sanskrit maha-kāvya of 2,600+ ślokas, an ode to India’s heritage.

• Moolanakshatram & Sri Panchami Mahotsavam – Celebrated with Akṣarabhyāsaṃ (initiation into letters) and Bījākṣara Lekhanam, performed personally by Guruji.

• Navaratri Utsavams – A 10-day festival featuring daily alankāram, pravachanam, and blessings.

• Guruji has produced several written literary works and audio recordings, including devotional stotrams such as Sri Meenakshi Stotram, Bhajagovinda Stotram, and Sri Mahalaksmi Astotara Shatanamavali.
