The Hare Krishna Heritage Tower (HKHT) is a proposed spiritual and cultural landmark rising to approximately 120 m (≈ 400 ft) on a 6‑acre site in Narsingi (Kokapet), Hyderabad. Constructed by the Hare Krishna Movement (HKM/ISKCON India), it aims to blend religious architecture with community services, serving as one of India’s tallest temple towers.


Founders & Key Figures

  • Inspired by His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, founder of ISKCON.

  • The project is led by Sri Madhu Pandit Dasa (Chairman & Mentor of ISKCON Bangalore, Akshaya Patra).

  • Core team includes Smt Bhakti Latha DD (Vice President, ISKCON Bangalore), Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa (Project Director), and Sri Kaunteya Dasa (Associate VP, HKM).

HKHT is envisioned as a multi‑faceted cultural center:

Temples

  • Radha–Krishna temple featuring Sri Sri Radha Krishna Lalitha Visakha and Sri Sri Sita Rama Lakshmana.

  • Sri Srinivasa Govinda (Venkateswara) temple built in traditional stone with prakara (~37,000 sq ft), inspired by Tirumala.

Cultural & Educational Hubs

  • Amphitheatre, multimedia museum, library, lecture halls, auditorium, and IMAX-style theatre.

  • Facilities for cultural-educational programs, hologram and laser projections to narrate Krishna’s story.

Community Services

  • Free Annadana (community kitchen) serving up to 500 per shift.

  • Guesthouses (~100 rooms), elevators & ramps for accessibility, and queueing areas for darshan.

Festivals

Celebrates major Vaishnava festivals: Krishna Janmashtami, Gaura Purnima, Vaikuntha Ekadashi, Karthika Deepotsava, and more.


Achievements & Milestones

  • Bhumi Puja held on 8 May 2023, with Telangana CM K. Chandrashekhar Rao and HKM leadership present.

  • Designed as India’s tallest heritage-style temple tower, with ₹200 Cr estimated investment.

  • Integration of Telangana’s ancient architectural styles (Kakatiya, Chalukya, Dravidian).
